| I placed an order on Fri at 0845 for a 40 lb. party pack and a few extras for the family, extra beads, meat pies, hat, etc. The Fedex man was delivering my order by 0930 Sat morning. It was fantastic! The crawfish were huge, the packaging was first rate, and the LA crawfish boil was fantastic. Out of 40 lbs. only 3 were crushed, amazing! My only concern was that for some reason the crawfish never got to steam for the 10 - 15 min. in the cooler prior to consumption like the recipe said. They were so good that the steam time went from 10 min. on the first batch, to 5 min on the second, to immediate consumption on the last batch. We'll try again next time to get it right. Our friends raved about them so much that we are going to do it again before this season is over. Thanks again for your first rate product and people, God bless! I just wanted to take a second and tell you how wonderful the ‘mudbugs’ were; received Saturday for a kick off the summer party. After moving from Alabama I thought the days of cooking mudbugs for the friends was over. A friend ask me to cook them and they were hit at the party. Several people were apprehensive to try them until the kids started digging in, even sucking the head went over well with most of them. Your bugs are delicious, your spices great, and best of all the pot was a breeze to cleanup, no nasty residue you get from so many others. I have included a few pictures, we will be making an annual tradition of this. The gentlemen in the pink shirt is a former professional hockey player from Canada, for someone who wasn’t going to try them, he ate more than anyone. You will notice in one picture he was as far away from the table as he could get and still be in the backyard. We will move the date up a little; the weather was plus 90 Saturday, so we did lose about 15 bugs. I knew it was going to be tough with the weather. Even the FedEx driver stayed to see them and wanted to join us that evening. It was a great time, thanks for raising a great product. A big thanks to the entire team at LA Crawfish. We wanted to treat the family to a Cajun crawfish boil in the mountains of Pennsylvania during our visit there last week so we ordered crawfish from your website and had them shipped to PA for when we arrived. We were concerned because of a very bad snow storm that our crawfish would not make it, but they were on time and in great shape. Thanks for doing such a great job-you have a customer for life! Just wanted to let you know that we received this order last week and the crawfish were BIG and DELICIOUS. I've never ever done a crawfish boil before - but I used the boil mix and spice that you guys sent along with the order... threw in a couple extra things like lemons, garlic, potatoes, corn etc and it turned out GREAT! I was a Crawfish/Crawdad/mudbug virgin until last night. My new girlfriend recently moved from LA and had been talking about missing them. I surprised her with a 20lb bag of them for her birthday. I miss South Louisiana terribly. I just discovered I can order a little bit of home and have it shipped to me by ordering crawfish from you. Why I haven’t done it sooner is beyond me. Having been to many crawfish boils, my wife and I decided to have our own. Thank God I stumbled across La Crawfish company. The crawfish were all alive and the sausage was second to none. The staff wasa "BIG" help too. Joy called tolet me know the pot (Like I said first timer) I had ordered wouldn't be available for thedate I wanted. I decided on a different size and it arrived right on time. Joy was also a big help with all of the questions I was asking about the crawfish and pot types. She was patient and answered them for me and made the party a huge success. Needless to say I'll be placing another(And bigger) order next month as the first one was a trial run. Just wanted to let you know we had the best father's day weekend ever thanks to your company! The crawfish were at my door in Northern California just 24 hours after we placed our order. It was the best crawfish boil we've had since we moved from Louisiana 24 years ago!!! The crawfish were all alive just as you promised. My mother-in-law and I thought we were going to have serious problems locating his birthday wish. We jumped on the internet and lo and behold, there was dozens of crawfish companies. Problem solved...so we thought. I sent out invitations announcing "crawfish and cocktails" and jumped back on the internet to order our feast. Only, I had no idea that crawfish was out of season. Thank God for Google! I typed in a search for "whole frozen crawfish," and was led to several companies that only sold tails. Just as I was about to give up, I clicked on your link and was pleased to see exactly what I was looking for. I called your company and left a message. Miss Avery called me back right away and answered all of my questions and placed my order for me. I ordered 40 pounds of crawfish, a 36 quart stock pot and 1 pound of seafood boil. To be honest, I was really worried about not getting my full order in time. The pot arrived yesterday, and the crawfish arrived about 30 minutes ago. I was really surprised and pleased to see that along with my order, I got a couple of bonuses. The jar of Cajun seasonings and Mardi Gras beads are a great touch! But I do want to thank your company and tell you what an outstanding party your crawfish and shrimp helped to create a couple of weeks ago. The crawfish arrived fine and followed your instructions to keep them alive overnight. I ordered 100 lbs of live crawfish to be shipped overnight to Fort Worth for a Friday delivery. When the crawfish arrived we followed the instructions on how to handle and maintain the crawfish when received. We transported the crawfish to Possum Kingdom Lake for a Saturday evening boil. We hosed down the crawfish a couple of times and stored them in a cool dry area with some lose ice on top. All night I worried how many we would lose and kept kicking myself for not paying the extra $12.50 to have the delivered directly to PK for a Saturday delivery. We had never ordered live crawfish and did not know what to except. To everybody's surprise we only had a dozen or so which did not survive the trip. The crawfish were great! Thanks so much for helping us put on our 1 st annual end of school crawfish boil. Next years event is schedule for Memorial Day week end so until next year- ya'll take care of those mud bugs! While crawfish and the beach might seem to be a strange combination, our party was a great success. My wife and I attended a lot of crawfish boils when we lived in Baton Rouge , but I had never been directly involved in cooking them. Your company - from the online info, to the fast shipping, to the easy-to-follow directions - made it easier for me try my hand at doing this myself. Everything went off without a hitch - from the kids playing with the crawfish as I rinsed them off in my daughter's old baby pool, to the dueling cookpots I had working non-stop for about 2 hours, to the quality and taste of the crawfish themselves. I requested 100# of Mud Bugs shipped to my home airport (Portland, OR). I have to tell you I was hesitant to order on line from an out-of-state distributor because the crawfish are so vulnerable. This is the 5th year we've had a "Boil Party" in celebration of my wife's birthday and we had always previously used a local supplier. I took a chance and I have to say, to tell you I was pleased would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT! The bugs arrived on Friday afternoon, and when they landed I received an email telling me that they were here. I drove to the airfreight terminal, loaded them up, drove home and put them to bed on some ice. Saturday at about 11am we started the purge and the boil. 30-40 people arrived (including a few rookies who were very hesitant...) and by 3pm they crawfish WERE ALL GONE! You see, we do a fine job of celebrating Mardi Gras here in Homer and our Krewe of Gambrinus is about as enthusiastic, if not Cajun as you can get. This isn't about us, it's about YOU. the crawfish were delicious, they arrived safely in those festive Mardi Gras colored sacks, the boil seasoning and directions to cook them were perfect. Due to weather conditions, we cooked them in the back of our beer delivery truck....it was a pa-teee! The crowd was about 20 of us and we had the standard, long table with newspaper set up for consumption. We boiled potatoes while the crawfish steamed, as you suggest, but due to the season, no corn. We ate every last one of them and felt there were plenty,not too much, but plenty. The best compliment to those mudbugs was the Homer Brewing Company beer we drank with them. Having just returned from a visit to Texas and Louisiana , I was forced to drink sweet tea with my crawfish due to the sad selection of beer in the south. Having owned a brewery for 11 years, and being a native of the south, it still amazes me that with all that good southern sophistication, craft beer is still very foreign to the palette. OK, I've said enough, you get these accolades every day from all over, but being an "owner-operated" business such as yourself, some days an extra kind word can make a difference. Keep up the fine service and we will look forward to our next feast. One last question, and I really didn't mean for you to have to respond to this message, but what is the best "season" for crawfish? It seems when I was down there in early March, "the season" had just begun. How long does it last? Thanks again and if you're ever in Homer Alaska......stop by the brewery for a beer. | Just wanted you to know that we got the crawfish mid day on Saturday, cleaned them well, kept ice on them overnight, cleaned them again, and on Sunday boiled them up.
