The recipe for the Original Zwolle Tamale is from an old Indian recipe consisting mainly of ground corn, pork & a variety of spices wrapped in corn shucks. Tamales make a great appetizer or side dish. Fully cooked, simply heat & serve!
Option: Hot or Mild
1 dozen per package
Steaming: remove tamales from bad and steam for approximately 20-30 minutes. Let stand for 3 minutes and then serve. If thawed, reduce steaming time to 10-15 minutes.
Microwave: make small puncture in top of bag. Heat on high for 3-6 minutes (due to power variances between microwave units, products may need additional heating time to individual taste.) Let stand for 2 minutes before serving. If thawed, reduce heating time to 2-3 minutes.
