Shipment arrived on time and crawfish looked great. I had to make a second order of 30 lbs because my party grew from 30 people to 60. Placed the second order the night before and they arrived in San Diego the next morning by 10 AM.
Just follow the directions and spray them down in the sack with water and cover with a wet towel till your ready to cook them later that day.

This is the 4th year I’ve shipped in the crawfish for a boil. This was my first disappointment. I’m normally surprised at how well they arrive without issues. But this year, about 4 dozen showed up dead. I got to them right after arrival, and got them out of the cooler and into smaller buckets to spread them out. They never perked up like years past. The ones that made it, worked out perfectly. Some people said they were the best tasting. It was just disappointing at the loss off the bat, worrying about them from pick up to the actual boil, and then not having as many for guests. I’ll try again next year.

Superior quality and always arrives on time! In addition to adding potatoes and corn, we add extra salt, about 1 cup per 15lbs, and a cup of brown sugar as well. Sounds wierd, but it really adds a unique flavor in the end giving it that umami taste! Also-if you add a splash of vinegar, it can help with making the shells easier to peel! Those are just a couple of tips and tricks my family has passed down. Hope you like it!

This is a tough one to review. The season started late and has been tough. We ordered 30lbs live crawfish. They were delivered on time, and were very clean. Due to the season, the shells were still a bit soft, and we had some more dead than i am used to. The weight of the sack and the soft shells just crushed a few… not a lot, just more than i’m used to. Overall, faced with the weird season, LA Crawfish did an excellent job getting me some bugs when other places couldn’t. I’d definitely buy again from here.

This was our 3rd order living out here in Las Vegas and let me tell you the best. We had to hold off a day due to a change of plans and I worried about how the crawfish would handle this. Simply put the bag in a cooler with a drain and 10 pound bag of ice. Left the top cracked a bit for air. Next morning I cut the bag to start the purging and wow…those guys were the most active crawfish. I was not used to them being that active at the bag cutting so didn’t have on gloves and they let me know how they felt!!! Im from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, live in SW MN and hands down, the live crawfish shipped from Louisiana to out of state always arrive as “live” crawfish!! Most times only find 1-2 dead and then evry so often may find 5-8 dead!!
Dont drown them, keep cold and rinsed off they last for a day or two after arriving until you boil them!! We boil normally the following day or two after receiving!!

We’ve gotten the 30lb live crawfish “summer special” for Memorial Day two years in a row now, and it looks like we’ll continue to do so long into the future.
Being in North Carolina, we used to cook a whole pig every year on the day before Memorial Day, but switched to crawfish last year to change things up a bit.
Our crawfish boil is just as popular as our pig pickin’ was, but is a whole lot less work and cleanup. Our guests love to come and partake, and these kinds of epic parties are making such great memories for us and our friends.
Even though we get our live crawfish delivered on Saturday, we’ve had zero issues keeping our mudbugs alive, cool, and happy until the big feast on Sunday night.

Huge fan and a loyal one. Unfortunately this year has not started off like the past. 3 weeks ago 65 percent were delivered dead, mainly due to shipping. Last Friday I had 30 lbs delivered. Only 15 percent were dead.
You guys were nice enough comp my first order weeks prior so I did not complain.
Just an idea but it may work on keeping crawdads alive.
Big box, crawfish soft shell and passed around by workers at airport. Perhaps bubble wrap may work to keep cradads from moving box. Because this is what I think is killing them
