This year I ordered fresh, but, it was late in the season. They reached out very quickly after I ordered and let me know by that date they could be out. This is the first time ordering live crawfish. I have done plenty of crawfish boils over the years but wanted to up my game with live ones. At first I placed an order for 10 lbs to be delivered to my house in San Diego. Placed the order five days prior to my cookout and wanted them the day before. Once they hit the pot, things got shell serious. The seasoning that came with the package was chef’s kiss—bold, zesty, and perfectly balanced. Ordering was easy and shipping was fast. I only had about 10 dead out of 10-15 pounds and everything came out great. My only issue is that I requested and paid extra for Saturday delivery. The package arrived on Friday instead. Luckily, we had someone at the house to get them off the porch and I was able to get the stuff ready last minute to cook they afternoon.

Great crawfish. I am from Southern Maryland and we take pride in our seafood. I have been stuck either eating crawfish at restaurants or buying them frozen. These live crawfish were "heads and tails" (pun intended) above anything I have had in the past. Meat was really white and clean and flavor was great. The size varied (field run) but most on the bigger size. Will be ordering again. Did have some dead loss but was refunded with a simple picture and email. Class act company to deal with. I recently made my first order from LA Crawfish and boy was I not disappointed. Last year I had found a seafood market bringing in live bugs. They were low quality but it was good enough for me. This year I went to the internet when I couldn't find any locally. We ordered the 10 lb special of the week. The crawfish arrived alive and well packed. We cooked up half on the first day. Excellent tasting. Clean meaty tails and incredibly clean heads. The purging process works better than I ever imagined. The other five pounds stayed alive in my cooler overnight and were cooked up on sunday. I had a lot of satisfied friends. Thank you I'll be ordering more for this weekend.
