I moved from Lafourche Parish to Tellico Plains, TN after retiring in 2020. For the most part, we were able to bring supplies from Louisiana two or three times a year and cook our own Cajun food. The one thing we missed terribly was having live crawfish boils. I didn’t even think it was possible where we lived until my wife found Louisiana Crawfish Co.
I ordered 45 lbs recently and held my breath. Sure enough, they arrived on time, they were LARGE, and there were only a handful of dead ones in the mix. Our kids and grand boys were thrilled, as were we!
It was quite a treat eating fresh boiled crawfish surrounded by the beautiful mountains of East Tennessee. I will definitely make this a habit each year.

We had a boil for my birthday with about 17 people. The 30lbs was the perfect amount. I ordered them to be overnighted to a FEDEX location and they were there by 9am. Only about 20 were dead when we opened the container. We left them in the bag and ran a hose over them for quite a while, then dumped em in a cooler, picked out the dead ones, and kept clean water flowing over them to clean off all the mud and gunk. Now, I know it’s early in the season (February 14) but most of them were pretty good size! Nobody at the party knew there was such a thing as ordering overnight crawfish from Louisiana, so it’s safe to say these were a hit!! Thanks so much for awesome service and good crawfish!

I’ve bought live crawfish from LA Crawfish many times. We live in both Texas & Iowa and I’ve had them shipped both places.
Recently we bought 40#’s, which is kinda light for us; because I was also smoking brisket.
The freeze & cold temperatures placed the order in doubt but I was waitlisted. Got the call the afternoon before, made the decision in a heartbeat & ~18 hrs later had those babies on my front porch. We washed them in my trusty craw-washer prior to steaming & soaking them (my new favorite way of doing them). I don’t recall seeing so much as 1 dead crawfish during our washing them; so 100% live delivery.
Again I’ll stress, the weather conditions were extreme. There was a decent size variation in them, which can be tricky to deal with. The bigger one needing more time & the smaller ones needing less time to steam. But we hit a happy medium and they All were very, very tasty.
Hats off to the talent there at LA Crawfish! They have a first rate sales, service, support & delivery operation and we do appreciate them!

Fairly pleased with the order and experience. I bought 50 lbs of live crawfish to add to a new bass pond. Ordering was simple and delivery was prompt (4 business days). Unfortunately however, about 15% of the crawfish were dead on arrival. Hoping that the lifeless crawfish were actually just stunned from the packaging and shipping, we put them in the pond anyway. They were still in the same place the next day and clearly dead. So i give it 4 stars for the purpose of stocking a pond (not that i would have eaten the lifeless crawfish if that was the purpose of the purchase).

But it’s been a late crawfish season for all of Louisiana. Well, after waiting and waiting and waiting, LA Crawfish finally started shipping. I got in on it about the second week. Just had to scratch that itch. Bought 15 pounds of field run (all they were selling) for 2 people. Boiled them up, started eating, and darn near cried. Crawfish! They were good. I have them rated at 5 stars because I wasn’t expecting too much given it was a bad year. But the size for field run were pretty darn good. Some small for sure, but all in all nice size, all healthy little critters, as always with LA Crawfish. Worth the wait.

Ordered 60 lbs of live mudbugs to Northern NV. Delivered on time and packed with care. Delivered on Friday about noon, and our boil was Saturday at 2pm. Took care of them overnight with ice, made sure they had air, and drained water from bottom of coolers so they didn’t drown. Boil went great! Only had to cull about 20 of them that didn’t make it. I’m sure it would have been fewer if I cooked them same day. Good sizes in mid May. Thanks for a great product

Crawfish were mostly good.. had probably 2-3 pounds of dead that i had to throw away. soaked them out for roughly 12 hours changing the water periodically and more seemed to be on their way out before actually boiling. all in all, we ended up having enough for the party but the money wasted on dead crawfish wasnt what i was expecting.

I realize that “field run” is pretty much pot luck and my experience may not be yours, but these were some of the largest crawfish I have ever eaten. Shipment arrived on time with acceptable number of dead crawfish. There were really no crawfish so small that weren’t worth the trouble to peel. I ordered 20lbs but pretty sure I received closer to 30lbs. Very positive experience and would not hesitate to order from them again.

This is the third time I’ve ordered from y’all and you might as well put me down for next spring now, cause it gets better every year. Even a mile above sea level and thousands of miles from the Gulf, we received a prompt, fresh order of large, live mud bugs. UPS did damage one if the boxes, but y’all were very kind and helpful even on a Saturday offering to reship or refund. We ended up having plenty to go aroubd even down a box, but the customer service was great as always. If damaged shipments are common, I might suggest a layer of cardboard outside the styrofoam next time. But overall, no complaints. Thanks for making our day.

I ordered 60 Lbs for my boil party and only had 22 crawfish that didn't survive the journey. I was expecting much much more loss than that. VERY impressed!! I am now a customer for life.
