Love LA crawfish, have always used them and will always use them. This batch of selects were delicious, but the sack contained every size of crawfish from peeler to jumbo. While it was mostly selects, there were a non-consequential amount of field run and a few peelers in there. This is a non-issue as I still feel I received my money’s worth, however a decent percentage of the smaller crawfish were crushed by the selects in shipping, but I did not observe an above average number of deads from my usual order.

I’ve ordered a couple of times in the past and I’ve gotten the ordering down. The first time I ordered for the day of my boil with the carrier taking too long to get me the package, resulting in me having to indefinitely delay the party. I learned my lesson and ordered the day before and have been following LSU-approved methods to keep the crawdads alive overnight. They worked flawlessly, as I only had three dead mudbugs in the last order.
The size of the selects were, on average, pretty big! My guests left happy and with a full belly of cajun food.

We received two 30 lbs bags, one was perfect as always, the other however had an issue, the fed ex delivery person commented that he had to double bag one ice chest because it was leaking all over his truck. He notes that the container was heavily damaged, I believe he did that officially as well. The crawfish from that container had a significant dead loss, we could tell just washing them they didn’t perk up. The first batch were perfect (nice size and excellent) the second had great size but there were lots of broken shells and think they were dropped or some how fell. There were a few straight tails but lots of curved tails, with the meat left a little mealy.
All that to say we will continue to order from y’all. But wanted to let you know about this since it’s never ever happened before.

This order was certainly below the normal standard. The gel packs that were in the cooler had busted so I had a mess to clean off of all of the crawfish. I guess this also caused them to not stay cold and about 25% of them were dead upon arrival. Also I ordered the select size crawfish and received a very average to small size crawfish. Overall I still got to have a good crawfish meal and will order again. This order was just a little frustrating.

First off LaCrawfish has been our go to for years and this is the first time we had our party since covid. Quality of products we top knotch as always and we had our party earlier this year so the crawfish were like small lobsters. Shrimp was as expected for our order never any complaints but it’s frozen shrimp lol. My only complaint(don’t even know if it’s a complaint) the crawfish didn’t seem to be purged very well. Now I may have not requested purged or I could be just a staff issue. Either way it doesn’t bother me one bit as we are prepared for purging and I may have screwed up. Either way I’d rather purge crawfish than deal with the wind storms when youvare trying to keep 2 50gal pots at a boil.
Quality as always and always my go to and if you aren’t in season check out the sausages and other food they offer in off season.

Every year we’d take a trip to Lafayette from Florida just to eat crawfish for a few days, not so easy now that we have moved out west. Happy to have found Louisiana Crawfish… a couple times a year I order a 20 pound sack for the two of us and we have our own Crawfish boil. The seasoning in the Value Pack is fantastic, found a 30 gallon stainless steel pot on Amazon thats just right, and we even pull up Chubby Carrier on Pandora for atmosphere. The bugs arrive alive and feisty and we dont bother with corn and potatoes. We eat em until they’re gone… washed down with cold beer. You guys are the best. I am VERY happy with our orders.
